One of the things that I am a little anxious about (although selfishly so) is the reality that I will have to stop my weight loss regimen when I get pregnant. I have been doing so well with my program over the past 14 months and I don’t really want to fall out of my routine. I know that it’s not anything drastic – I’m just eating good foods and spending a 3-4 hours in the gym every week – and I can still mostly do that while pregnant with the exception that I will only be able to do medium impact workouts. It still worries me though because I’ve accomplished so much and I don’t really want it all to be for nothing. So far I have lost just over 30 lbs and am the smallest I’ve been in almost 2 years. My goal is to lose another 10-13 lbs by the end of the year but I’m not so sure that’s going to happen.
Here’s my progress graph so far:
katie, keep up the good eating habits! i read that preggos should get most of their protien intake from veggies and nuts and their fat from whole milks. the first tri- mester you will be using 3 times the calories that you normaly would, the exersize is just to keep your indurance up for what lies ahead. then while your nursing you again will burn 3 times the calories you normaly would. so keeping good habits will ensure an easier weight loss post baby.
